Vietnam's THACO AGRI to increase cow, pig numbers to more than 100,000 each in 2024

 
 

 

Vietnamese agriculture production company THACO AGRI and its affiliated units, including Pig Farming Corporation, Trung Nguyen Beef Company and Hoang Anh Dak Lak Company, recently organised a conference on January 24 to February 1, focusing on the company's 2024 plan, Nguoi Quan Sat reported this month.

 

This year, the company aims to increase its cow herd to more than 150,000 and pig herd to more than 136,600.

 

In particular, Trung Nguyen Beef Company will increase the total herd of its cows to 52,991 cows this year. The company's total mixed ration feed production will be increased to 361,942 tonnes.

 

"In 2024, THACO AGRI will continue to focus on developing crop and livestock production," Tran Bao Son, general director of THACO AGRI, noted. Furthermore, the company's production of animal feed will reach 120,000 tonnes this year, he added.

 

THACO AGRI will also invest in agricultural equipment factories at the Koun Mom Complex, Snuol Complex and HAGL Agrico Lao Complex.

 

In 2024, THACO AGRI's consolidated revenue is estimated to reach ₫6,600 billion (US$264 million), of which its export revenue is US$190 million.

 

The company's total investment capital is ₫5,800 billion (US$232 million).
