Chief minister calls for cow protection in Madhya Pradesh, India

The chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, India, Mohan Yadav, recently chaired a cabinet meeting at Mantralaya in Bhopal and emphasised the need for cow protection in the state.
Yadav addressed the issue of cows sitting on main roads and highways during the rainy season, which often leads to accidents. To address this, the government will increase the amount and honorarium for Gaushalas, or cow shelters, and ensure better management of cattle.
Yadav also highlighted the importance of proper cremation arrangements for deceased cows. He stressed the need to ensure that the remains of the cattle are treated respectfully, either through the construction of mausoleums or other appropriate arrangements.
The Council of Ministers expressed their support for the chief minister's instructions and suggested involving social organisations in this initiative. In response, the chief minister instructed the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department to make necessary preparations.
Additionally, the cabinet meeting discussed improving the operation of cow sheds, regulating the movement of cows by cow herders, and obtaining funds from the central government for infrastructure projects.
