Bingo, the largest retailer store in Bosnia, has opened a breeding centre and an incubator for hens near the north-eastern town of Kalesija, Bosnia.
The value of the investment was not disclosed.
The Kalesija government said Bingo employed 25 people at its two facilities and plans to increase production in 2022.
"Through these two projects, we will have some 6.4 million eggs per year and through the incubator, we will produce some 2.4 million laying hens," said Enes Omerovic, poultry production manager at Bingo.
