Biorigin Europe receives GMP+ certification

At the end of January, Biorigin Europe had received the GMP+ B3 trade, collection and storage, and transshipment certification, according to parent company Biorigin, a Brazilian company which uses biotechnological products to create natural ingredients for animal nutrition and health.

With the certification, all Biorigin units are now certified in the GMP+ standards, which harmonise feed requirements. GMP refers to "Good Manufacturing Practices", with the "+" referring to integration with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). GMP standards would thus ensure quality and safety throughout the animal feed chain.

One of the Biorigin's main differentials is the quality and traceability of the entire production process - from its raw material (the sugar cane produced by Zilor, parent company of Biorigin) to the final product produced from yeast.

"The certifications and constant monitoring of the raw material to the final product are part of Biorigin's daily routine. This achievement for the European unit confirms our commitment to total quality and meeting the most demanding customer standards and requirements", said Leila Brambila Tsuchiya, Biorigin's global quality coordinator.

"Biorigin's goal is to add value to our customers' products, whether through the increase of productivity, profitability and animal welfare. This certification confirms our commitment to deliver a differentiated product to the animal feed market," said the company's feed global business manager, Alessandro Rocha,
