Japan launches fish feed mill in Vietnam's Mekong Delta

 

 

Japan's Higashimaru Joint Stock inaugurated on February 23 a mill to produce fish and shrimp feed in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang, Vietnam.

 

The US$4-million mill in the Tan Huong Industrial Zone, is estimated to generate an annual turn out of 10,000 to 15,000 tonnes of products under the Sakura brand.

 

The mill's capacity will be raised to 50,000 tonnes after the second phase, estimated to cost an additional US$6 million, once completed.

 

The Higashimaru Joint Stock Company is one of Japan's leading feed producers, and  the first Japanese firm to invest in Tien Giang province.
