Ukraine output of meat products down 15.1% in January

In January 2010, Ukraine meat processing enterprises reduced production of meat and by-products by 15.1% or 12,761 tonnes to 71,570 tonnes, compared with December 2009.

In January 2010, production of meat and by-products grew by 2.3% or 1,619 tonnes, compared with January 2009.

In December 2009, meat processing enterprises boosted production of meat and by-products by 5.7% or 4,527 tonnes to 84,331 tonnes, compared with November.

In 2009, production of meat and by-products increased by 0.2% or 1,560 tonnes, compared with 2008, to 920,512 tonnes.

According to the specified data, in 2008, production of meat and by-products made up 918,952 tonnes.
