Perstorp appoints new global product manager for gut health

Perstorp announced that Dr. Antonia Tacconi has joined the company's animal nutrition team as global product manager for gut health, with effect from February 1. 

Reporting to Jeroen Pos, vice president of marketing and technology for animal nutrition, Dr. Tacconi will bring technical and commercial expertise to her role.

Aart Mateboer, executive vice president for Perstorp Animal Nutrition, said: "I am very excited to have Antonia on board. This role requires a mixture of detailed technical knowledge with strategic and commercial awareness, all of which Antonia brings to Perstorp from her experience and career in the animal nutrition industry."

Dr. Tacconi graduated in 2015 from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences with a PhD in Bioanalytics focusing on the detection of antibiotic residues in animal-derived foods.

Since then, her career in the international feed additives industry has provided her experience of working with various types of feed additives as well as with a range of livestock species.

"This is an exciting time to join Perstorp. I look forward to using my knowledge and experience to drive product strategy in this expanding focus segment," said Dr. Tacconi. The gut health segment is at the core of Perstorp's strategic direction, and Dr. Tacconi's role is pivotal for its success.
