Thai Union Frozen Products PCL reported Monday (February 23) earned a net profit of THB2.2 billion (US$61.7 million), posting a 20.9 rise due to robust sales growth.

The country's largest canned and frozen seafood processor and exporter revenue last year was THB1.82 billion.

A Dow Jones Newswires poll of eight analysts forecast a net profit of THB2.27 billion.

Sales rose 24.4 percent to THB69.05 billion but net profit was trimmed by lower foreign exchange translation.

Total expenses rose to THB66.23 billion from THB53.18 billion the previous year.
