Vietnamese shrimp exporter re-enters US market
Investment, Commercial and Fisheries Joint Stock Company, or Incomfish's recent export of two containers of shrimp worth US$12.5 million to the US marked its return to the market after a 2-year absence.
The company exited the US market in 2005 to refocus its strategy on Europe and Japan after the US
anti-dumping restrictions on its shrimps and catfish. By the end of 2006, US exports accounted for only 10 percent of Incomfish turnover.
