The Philippines buys 110,000 tonnes of feed wheat
European traders said a Philippines' importer group has purchased about 110,000 tonnes of livestock feed wheat in an international tender which closed on February 17, Nasdaq reported.
The majority of traders expected that the wheat would come from Australia, but there was market speculation that the wheat may have been sourced from the US.
It was purchased in two consignments totaling 55,000 tonnes, with expected shipments in June and July 2023.
A consignment was bought for about US$332 per tonne c&f. Trading house CBH was thought to be the seller, according to the traders.
The cost of the second consignment was about US$335 per tonne c&f. The trader ETG was believed to be the seller.
