Canada Beef expands market in China

After continued efforts by the Canadian Government to expand commercial access in China, the recent move by China to allow four additional Canadian beef facilities to export to the country has come.

"Chinese market access is one of a number of key trade agreements achieved through the leadership of the federal Market Access Secretariat," Canada Beef President Rob Meijer said.

The Canada Beef International Institute is the operating entity in Asia employing representatives in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and Taiwan. "Besides these markets, there are other significant emerging markets such as Vietnam and the Philippines" which Canada Beef is pursuing, Meijer said.
