Pilgrim's Pride reports Q4 net losses on high costs
As costs unexpectedly soared throughout the year and the poultry industry suffered numerous setbacks, Pilgrim's Pride Corporation reported net losses for fourth-quarter and full-year 2011.
The company reported a net loss of US$85.36 million for the quarter, compared with net income of US$41.84 million in fourth-quarter 2010, and a net loss of US$496.77 million for the year, compared with net income of US$87.14 million in 2010.
