Bangladesh to enlist poultry farms' help to keep prices stable

Bangladesh needs the cooperation of large poultry farmers to help keep prices of chickens and eggs within the buying capacity of the public, according to a minister.

Livestock Minister M Abdul Latif Biswas Wednesday (Feb 18) said large poultry farmers can set up fair price outlets in different areas of the city to close the gap between production costs and retail prices.

Latif Biswas also emphasised on the importance of modern training for poultry farmers for sustainable development of the industry, and urged entrepreneurs to set up more farms in Bangladesh as bird flu is now nearly under control.
