More loss and deficits expected for Denmark's pig industry
Denmark's pig industry has experienced years of continuous loss, but the problem threatens to spiral even further when a deficit has been calculated for this year.
Denmark's pig producers have lost about US$1.95 billion for the past six years, according to Jyllands-Posten, the country's newspaper.
That is not the end, however, as Danish Pig Production statistics forecast that the industry will suffer a deficit of about US$584.7 million this year.
The report also said that only five to ten percent of pig farmers will have a healthy and profitable business.
