Tulip Food acquires Danish poultry processor

Tulip Food Company has acquired Nietfeld, a family business poultry processor, which would further strengthen the company's position in the German market.

The agreement is said to have taken effect from 1 January 2010.

According to the agreement, Nietfeld will become part of Tulip Food Company. With the acquisition, Tulip Food Company's turnover in Germany is expected to increase significantly.

Gottfried Nietfeld, one of the two former owners of Nietfeld, has expressed great expectations for the future of the company. Mr Nietfeld will continue in the company and thereby secure continued full support to the customers and the new owners.
