India confirms H5N1 bird flu outbreak in Bihar state

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) said India has detected an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 bird flu at a poultry research farm in Bihar state.

787 out of 3,859 birds on the farm were killed by the virus. The remaining birds were culled, according to the OIE citing a report from India's authorities.
