Argentina may limit beef exports for three months
Argentina may limit beef exports for as long as three months in a bid to help bring domestic food prices down.
The government is expected to announce next week an accord with beef producers to limit price increases on the staple, according to La Nacion, a Buenos Aires-based newspaper.
Farmers say the Argentine government has largely blocked beef exports since December, La Nacion said. The agriculture ministry and export trade office said that beef exports have been approved in line with previous years.
