China Live Hog Weekly: Sharp fall in prices as farmers hasten releases (week ended Feb 14, 2018)
Prices fell prominently. Hog quantity surged as farmers released even smaller hogs, worrying that prices would fall further after the Chinese New Year. Pork carcass volumes jumped a whopping 7.6% to 10,619 tonnes while slaughterhouses took the opportunity to slash prices.
