Norway's January fish exports to Russia up 8.1%
The Norwegian Seafood Export Council in Russia said in a statement Tuesday (Feb 14) that in January, Norway increased fish exports to Russia by 8.1% to EUR68.4 million (US$90 million).
In physical terms, Norway's exports fell to 33,000 tonnes from 34,000 tonnes.
The volume of salmon supplies soared 57% to 10,200 tonnes in January, trout supplies jumped 54.2% to 1,850 tonnes, while herring exports fell 14.6% to 16,400 tonnes.
