Cherkizovo Group announces operating results for December, fourth quarter and 2021
Cherkizovo Group has announced its operating results for December, the fourth quarter of last year, and full 2021.
For the fourth quarter of 2021, the highlights are:
- Chicken: Sales volume of 178.3 thousand tonnes was in line with the third quarter of 2021 and 3% above previous quarter results. Average sales price increased by 31 % year-on-year and 6 % quarter-on-quarter;
- Turkey: JV Tambov Turkey sales volume of 13.6 thousand tonnes increased by 20% year-on-year and came up 12 % below the previous quarter result. Average sales price increased by 23 % year-on-year and 15 % quarter-on-quarter;
- Pork: Sales volume of carcass of 16.1 thousand tonnes declined by 36 % year-on-year and came up 27 % higher than the previous quarter results of 12.6 thousand tonnes, while sale price increased 19% year-on-year and declined by 9% compared to the third quarter of 2021 result. Pork cuts sales volume remained in line with the previous year results of 8.4 thousand tonnes while declining 12 % quarter-on-quarter, with average sales price increasing 19% year-on-year and 3 % quarter-on-quarter;
- Meat Processing: Sales volume advanced by 21 % year-on-year and 8 % quarter-on-quarter to 39.2 thousand tonnes. Average sales price improved by 29 % year-on-year and 12 % quarter-on-quarter;
- Grain (annual results): Harvest of 597.2 thousand tonnes declined by 25 % year-on-year, with wheat volumes recording the largest drop of 39 %, followed by sunflower decline of 20%, offset by growth of soybean volumes of 70% year-on-year and corn volumes of 11 %. Sales volumes of 425.5 thousand tonnes declined by 36 % year-on-year, with average selling price improving for wheat, corn and soybeans.
