Vietnam's 2014 seafood exports likely to reach US$6.7 billion
Vietnamese seafood exports are expected to report firm growth to reach US$6.7-6.8 billion and hit US$7 billion in 2014, if shrimp and pangasius exports have the great growth in the year.
According to Vietnam Customs, Vietnam exported its seafood to 156 markets, earning back US$6.720 billion in 2013. Top 10 largest importers of Vietnam seafood made up 85% of the country's total seafood exports. The proportion of seafood exports to these markets has changed: exported proportion to Japan dropped 0.8%, EU declined 0.9%, South Korea fell 0.6%, the US up 3.2% and China rose 2%.
