Fibrowatt to build third poultry litter power plant in North Carolina

Fibrowatt will build a third poultry litter power plant in Montgomery, North Carolina.

Aside from Montgomery, Fibrowatt has also announced plants in Sampson County in eastern North Carolina, and Surry County near the Virginia border.

Construction on the Montgomery County plant will begin in 2010 and scheduled to open in 2012, according to Fibrowatt.

Fibrowatt has been granted US$4.8 million in tax incentives for the project, the company said.
