South Korea detects additional case of bird flu

South Korea has confirmed an additional case of highly pathogenic avian influenza at a poultry farm in Boryeong, 141 km south of Seoul, increasing the number of bird flu cases discovered at poultry farms to 34 since November 8, 2021, Yonhap News Agency reported.

Quarantine measures have been implemented at the farm, including culling of all poultry. Some 42,000 chicken are raised at the Boryeong farm.

Quarantine authorities announced a disinfection operation across South Korea to prevent the spread of bird flu.
