EU soft wheat exports exceed 10 million tonnes
EU soft wheat exports exceeded 10 million tonnes as of the week ended February 2.
The EU granted export licenses for 384,000 tonnes of soft wheat in the week ended February 2, taking total EU wheat exports 31 weeks into the marketing year to 10.3 million tonnes, trailing the 12.6 million tonnes exported over the same period in the previous year.
Grain exports totalled 12.7 million tonnes 31 weeks into the marketing year, compared with 18.7 million tonnes for the same period the previous year.
Meanwhile, total grain imports for the first 31 weeks of the marketing year were 5.9 million tonnes, down from eight million tonnes over the same period in the previous year.
