Nebraska to promote beef in Hong Kong

The Nebraska Department of Agriculture has brokered a deal that will ensure the state's beef is purchased, promoted and eaten in Hong Kong.

Under the agreement, Hong Kong-based meat importer Angliss would purchase age- and source- verified beef through US-based Swift & Company's Nebraska plant and work to promote the product in at least 24 restaurants and at special events.

In order to ensure safety standards, Swift would secure livestock that is in line with Hong Kong's import standards before selling the processed product to Angliss.

NDA seems to be trying hard to promote its products as the company recently teamed up with the Nebraska Beef Council to promote beef in London.
