Ukraine borrows US$1.5 billion loan to acquire domestic grains
 

 

Ukraine has received US$1.5 billion in loan, from the Export-Import Bank of China, to acquire four million tonnes of grain from local farmers, according to the country's Agriculture Minister, Mykola Prysiazhniuk.

 

The Food and Grain Corp. is going to make forward contracts from February 15, 2013.

 

It is expected that grains, such as barley, wheat and corn, will be purchased.
