Iodine content in Norwegian milk down 40%

Since 2000, nearly 40% in Norwegian milk's iodine content has been reduced, according to new analyses.

The results will now be further investigated, and health authorities will have to decide whether measures should be taken. A theory is that the iodine reduction is due to increase used of rapeseed in cow feeds, not least since the most significant decline has been found in milk produced at wintertime.
