Vietnam' aquatic breeding output soars by 20 percent
In January, Vietnam's total aquatic breeding output reached 120,000 tonnes, increasing by 20 percent on-year, despite cold weather.
Aquatic breeding is expanding throughout Vietnam, with a total area of 750,000 hectares, nearly doubling the area in 2000, boosting the nation's yearly output to 1.3 million tonnes.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that during the month, seafood export turnover is estimated at US$255 million, up 1.7 percent from one year ago.
