Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 MT US No. 2 corn from Mitsui
Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group bought 60,000 metric tons of US No. 2 yellow corn from trading house Mitsui in a tender Thursday, according to an MFIG official.
MFIG bought one cargo of corn, with 14.5% moisture level, paying $141.80 a ton for 14,135 tons and 158.93 US cents a bushel over the Chicago Board of Trade's May contract for the remaining 45,865 tons, the official said. Both prices are after cost and freight.
The cargo is set to be shipped either between March 23 and April 13 from the US Gulf, or April 7-28 from the Pacific Northwest.
Mitsui can choose to provide 5% more or less of the tendered quantity.
