South Korean feed company tenders for 85,000 tonnes of feed wheat

European traders said major South Korean feed maker Nonghyup Feed Inc (NOFI) has issued an international tender to buy up to 85,000 tonnes of animal feed wheat, Hellenic Shipping News reported.

The wheat is sought in two consignments from worldwide optional origins, but sources such as Russia, Ukraine, Argentina, Pakistan, Denmark, China, and India are excluded.

The first shipment of up to 20,000 tonnes is expected to arrive in South Korea on April 30.

The wheat shipment is sought between March 28 to April 16 if sourced from the US' Pacific Northwest coast, Australia, or Canada; between March 8 to March 27 if sourced from the US' Gulf or Europe; between March 3 to March 22 if sourced from South America, and between March 13 to April 1 if sourced from South Africa.

The second shipment of up to 65,000 tonnes is expected to arrive around July 25.

NOFI has also issued a separate tender to purchase approximately 138,000 tonnes of animal feed corn.
