Bird flu reported in Nepal

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) said Nepal has detected a bird flu outbreak on a poultry farm in the eastern district of Morang, Reuters reported.

3,510 birds on the farm were killed, with the remaining 5,160 birds culled to stop the spread of the virus.

Nepal had reported several H5N8 highly pathogenic bird flu outbreaks in the country last year.
