China Folic Acid: Supply stays tight, underpins prices (ended Feb 1, 2021)

Supplies of folic acid remained tight, lifting prices higher despite cautious buying.

Export prices of folic acid climbed US$0.50/kg to US$33.50/kg.

Local transacted prices rose to the range of RMB217-240/kg.

Since late November folic acid have surged 37% due to tight availability. Buying interest is expected to remain low as feed producers tread prudently.
