Exporters sell 107,340 tonnes of US corn to Japan

Some private exporters sold 107,340 tonnes of US corn to Japan for delivery this marketing year, the USDA reported on Thursday (Feb 2).

The 2011-12 marketing year for corn closes on August 31.

By law, exporters must report promptly the sale of 100,000 tonnes or more of a commodity to the same destination in one day. Sales of smaller amounts are reported on a weekly basis.
