Global price hike to expand Ukraine's soy areas

If the soy prices will increase worldwide, agrarians in Ukraine will sow the oilseed throughout more territories for 2012/13 MY, according to estimations of APK-Inform analysts.

Moreover, taking into account, that the harvesting campaign of soy in Brazil and Argentina traditionally ends in May or June, most of the South American commodity will be contracted by September 2012 (the start of soy marketing year in Ukraine).

As a result, importers will be forced to search for the alternative sources of soy, which can be useful for Ukrainian producers and exporters of soy.
