China restricts pork products from Italy and North Macedonia over ASF concerns
Pork products from China — that are shipped from Italy and North Macedonia — will be returned or destroyed, as the country announced a ban on pork due to African swine fever outbreaks in those European nations.
Those that were shipped before the date of the announcement will be subject to enhanced quarantine.
Animal and plant wastes and swill that are unloaded from inbound ships, aircrafts, trains and other means of transport from Italy and North Macedonia will be disposed under customs supervision.
