China's annual pork production hits normal levels in 2021

China's annual pork output in 2021 was 52.96 million tonnes, an increase of 28.8% over the previous year.

According to the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, this means production has reached historically normal levels.

By the end of 2021, there were 43.29 million breeding sows in China.
