Shipping problems pressure dairy prices

Batavia, NY - Exporters are reporting delays and canceledvovages due to overwhelmed ports in the West. Several times this weekend we were told "product is sold..if we get it on a ship." We also shared anecdotes of growing inventories in the West. Shipping woes may very well be the biggest driver behind the widening spread between USA and European milk powder prices, which now totals 19 cents.
