Spain's pork exports rise 19.1% volume-wise in first 10 months of 2020
During the first 10 months of 2020, exports of Spain's pork and pork products have increased 19.1% in volume and 24.8% in value compared to the same period of 2019, according to the latest data from Interporc.
Most of the exported products are pork and offal that accounted for 87.8% in volume and 82.6% in value. Processed exports accounted for 6.7% of total exports in volume and 14.8% in value.
China continues to be the main market for Spanish pork and pork products, receiving 44.3% of exports by volume, followed by France (10.2%), Italy (6.9%), Japan (3.9%), Portugal (3.6%), Poland (3%), the Philippines (2.5%) and South Korea (1.8%).
Spain's Catalonia represented 52.8% of the country's total pork exports by volume, followed by Aragon (22.1%) and Castilla and Leon (5.7%).
