Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt's chicken meat sales up 8.5%
As compared with the fourth quarter of 2010, Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt increased the volume of sales of chicken meat by 8.5% or 7,000 tonnes to 88,900 tonnes between October and December 2011, reads a statement made by the company.
All in all, Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt pushed up chicken meat sales by 11.9% or 39,500 tonnes to 370,900 tonnes in 2011 over 2010.
The average prices for chicken meat were standing at UAH17 (US$2.12) per kilogramme (net of VAT) in the fourth quarter of 2011, coming up to world price tendencies, while in the fourth quarter of 2010 at UAH14.35 (US$1.79) per kilogramme (net of VAT).
The average level of prices in 2011 was UAH15 (US$1.87) per kilogramme (UAH13.65 (US$1.70) per kilogramme in 2010).
In 2011, exports of chicken meat accounted for 10% of total sales, up 80% on 2010.
Last year the company opened new markets for supplies of chicken meat, including Libya, Lebanon, Uzbekistan and Angola.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt in the third quarter of 2011, stepped up sales of chicken meat by 23.3% or 18,900 tonnes to 99,900 tonnes over-year.
The company earned US$215 million of a net profit for 2010

Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt produces poultry meat under the Nasha Riaba trademark, semi-finished meat products under the Lehko! trademark, sausage products and smoked meat products Friendship of Nations, Baschinskyi and Europroduct, beef delicacies under the Certificated Angus trademark, chilled and frozen goose meat and goose liver delicacy under the Foie Gras trademark.
