Weak trend prevails in China vitamin C market

Prices of vitamin C were flat during the period in review.

With aqua feed demand slack, the sales of vitamin C was slow, particularly as feed millers limited purchases in view of weak prices amid ample supplies. Even though several buyers increased stocks before Chinese New Year holidays, the improved buying interest was not strong enough to push up prices.

Prices of feed- and food-grade vitamin C stayed in the range of RMB22-23/kg.

The demand for vitamin C is expected to remain slack in the coming period.
