Ukraine to export 30 million tonnes grain in 2012
The President of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club Alex Lissitsa has said that Ukraine may export up to 30 million tonnes of grain cultures this year.
"Ukraine's internal market makes up 25-26 million tonnes of grain, and total excess of grain should be exported. Therefore, if the yield of this season approximately made up 55 million tonnes, Ukraine should export up to 30 million tonnes of grain crops over the year," Lissitsa noted.
To remind, January 16, the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry informed that Ukraine exported 9.65 million tonnes of grain crops since the beginning of the new marketing year 2011-12, which exceed the previous year index by 2.86 million tonnes.
