Russia's UralChem acquires 100% stake in Mineral Fertilizers
Russia's UralChem has fully consolidated Mineral Fertilizers, a Perm Region-based fertiliser producer, through the acquisition of a 51% stake from petrochemical company Sibur.
The value of the deal amounted to RUB7.78 billion (US$0.25 billion). UralChem is obliged to execute the payment no later than Tuesday (Jan 31).
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has given UralChem approval to consolidate 100% stakes in Mineral Fertilizers on January 23.
Mineral Fertilizers (Minudobrenia) focuses on the production and export of nitrogen fertilisers.
UralChem (Uralkhim) is the largest producer of nitrogen fertilisers and the third largest producer of phosphorous fertilisers in Russia.
