ABNA's feed plant in China's Harbin comes online
The feed plant of Associated British Nutrition & Agric-products (ABNA) Feed (Liaoning) Co. Ltd's facility has began operations after six intense months of construction.
The addition meant that 13 companies belonging to the world's top 500 companies are now in Harbin's Economic Developing Region.
ABNA is a subsidiary of Associated British Foods, is one of the biggest food companies in EU, with businesses across the EU, America, Australia and Asia.
The company has 9 plants in China. ABNA has a 120-year history in feed manufacturing industry with annual revenue of GBP 1.1billion. The company has a 24.4-percent share of the total British feed market.
The Harbin facility, costing US$6 million and covering an area of 26,510 square metres, could produce 120,000 tonnes of feed annually or 300 tonnes daily. The main products include poultry feed, pig feed, ruminant feed, premix and aquatic-feed.
Annual sales are expected at RMB 280 million (US$36 million).
