China's methionine export increased 15% to 5,727 tonnes in December, whereas imports plunged 26% to 11,498 tonnes. Despite the fall in supply, methionine availability remained ample due to the high capacity of the industry. In Europe, prices of China-produced methionine were unchanged in the range of EUR2.45-2.55/kg.
