Pan Fish Scotland appoints new board as merger approved

In accordance to an announcement made in December 2006, Pan Fish Scotland will be divested in accordance with the voluntary agreement reached with the French Competition authorities with regards to the triple merger announced last year.

The merger of Pan Fish, Marine Harvest and Fjord seafood has been closely watched by competition authorities.

Oyvind Torlen has served as MD of Pan Fish Norway, MD of Fjord Seafood Norway, and COO and vice-president of Pan Fish ASA. After studying business and economics at the Norwegian School of Management, he worked for several years as a consultant with KPMG and Arthur Andersen, before joining Pan Fish in 2003.

Odd Geir Oddsen, who has been MD of Pan Fish Scotland since 2004, is confirmed as MD of the divested company.
