$1.4 billion pork processing complex to be built in Vietnam by Russian firm
A memorandum of understanding was forged by AVG Capital Partners and the Thanh Hoa Province People's Committee to build a $1.4 billion pork processing complex in the Vietnamese province.
The complex entails a pig farm, that will be built on 1,000 hectares of land in the Nghi Son Economic Zone and is divided into three phase. The farm aims to raise five million hogs a year.
Additionally, the complex will include an animal feed production plant with a capacity of two million tonnes a year, a slaughterhouse and a meat processing plant with a capacity of 0.6 million tonnes.
AVG is a major investor in agriculture, animal feed production, meat processing and sugar production.
