Vietnam's swine herd size was 27.4 million head, a reduction of 5.6%, and slaughter output reached 3.7 million tonnes, an increase of 1.9% compared to the same period of last year. Except for the strong recovery in July 2017, live hog prices mostly declined during the year due to the sufficient supply.
