Malaysia to import young cattle from China
Malaysia would soon import thousands of young cattle from China to boost the country's meat production industry.
The move is to supplement supply from traditional sources of live cattle for livestock farming, such as Australia.
Chinese yellow cattle breed is considered cheaper and easier to rear compared to those imported from other countries.
The country has already made an agreement with cattle suppliers of China and hopes to begin the import within the next few months.
