China - South Korea seafood trade leap by 18 percent
China and South Korea's seafood trade value surged by 18.9 percent on-year to US$1.10 billion in the first eleven months of 2007, according to the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday.
South Korea exported 128,000 tonnes of aquatic products, including squid, mackerel and cod to China. It was valued at US$138 million, increasing by 115 percent on-year.
China exported 482,000 tonnes of yellow croaker, octopus and other fish to South Korea, which amounted to US$963 million, a rise of 4 percent, but a drop of 3 percent in terms of volume.
