China imports more seafood from Vietnam
China has in recent days imported a great quantity of fresh Vietnamese seafood, including crabs, shrimp, and salt and fresh water fish, according to Vietnam's Fisheries Ministry.
At the Mong Cai bordergate in northeastern Quang Ninh province, Vietnamese exporters sold one tonne of seafood for RMB50,000 (equivalent to US$6,000), the highest price thus far.
In the first month of this year, Vietnam has earned US$150 million from seafood exports, an increase of 19.8 percent over the same period last year.
